Homelab

My homelab is my laboratory: this is where I try technologies before I take them seriously, and where I run everything I can self-host. It serves the whole family in production — so outages get noticed.

How I Work

  1. Docs as code

Every decision, runbook and inventory lives versioned in a Git repo. What is not documented does not exist.

  2. One service, one responsibility

Clear boundaries: one service per container, one place per piece of information, no duplicates.

  3. Security by default

Hardened containers, minimal privileges, encrypted secrets, no direct access from outside.

  4. Automate instead of repeat

Anything done manually twice becomes a script, a playbook or a pipeline the third time.

  5. Understand first, build second

New technologies are evaluated in the lab, documented, and only then used in production.
